Larry A. Schooler - Partner & Land Development Director

Following a very successful 20+ year career in Corporate Banking where his last assignment was as General Manager of an Operational Division of one of the largest credit card processors in the country, Larry began active investing in both residential and commercial real estate ventures. His personal real estate property holdings have spanned multiple states, including Hawaii. He has also been active in new construction projects in Florida and Oklahoma. His focus since 2007 has been in Costa Rica where he is managing several syndication projects involving 1750 acres of beautiful land in the mid-Pacific region. His knowledge of the Monterey area and development opportunities is extensive and he has assembled a solid in country team of professionals to support his projects. Larry is also a successful public speaker and real estate investment teacher, recognized for his real estate achievements. He has been to many of the 50 states teaching real estate investment techniques to individual investors in a mentoring capacity.

Eugenio Bermudez - Project Manager / Planning & Environmental Consultant

Eugenio Bermudez is a seasoned project manager, as well as a planning and environmental consultant. He has worked in all areas of the business over the last 20 years with DEPPAT, one of Costa Rica’s most respected planning and environmental consulting firms. Eugenio´s extensive experience includes management of numerous land planning, maritime zone permitting, urban zoning, and other development projects throughout Costa Rica. Eugenio currently divides his time between consulting activities at DEPPAT and Project Management.

José Ramón Chavarría - Chief Project Attorney

José Ramón Chavarría is an attorney that specializes in Commercial and Real Estate Law based in San José, Costa Rica. Mr. Chavarría obtained a specialization degree in Commercial Law from the University of Costa Rica, and received an L.L.M degree from Georgetown University where he attended under the auspices of a Fulbright Hays scholarship granted by the U.S. State Department. Mr. Chavarría is the author of a number of papers and articles on international joint ventures, corporations and real estate law. Through his proffesional career he has acted as a University Professor for the Comercial Law faculty of the University of Costa Rica Law School, he has held important government positions such as assistant to the president of the local Oil Corporation (RECOPE), but has devoted most of his career to private law practice. His clients are mainly foreign investors doing business in the Republic of Costa Rica. José Ramón is also an attorney for Banco Popular and some multinational corporations such as Total Oil, Valhalla Investments, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, and Accor Hotels. He is the managing partner for LAND WORKS S.A., a law firm with a specialized practice in real estate law, that does business in the pacific coast and capital city of San José, Costa Rica. Within his law practice José Ramón has a particular interest in the contractual and financing side, having collaborated in the organization of complex Trust structures for real estate development and construction and international corporate setups for tourism and land development ventures. On a personal side, José Ramón is 43 years old, father to three boys 12, 10 and 7, and lives a very active life by practicing cycling, running and scuba diving regularly.
